Tried & Tested

7News’ tech-wizard Sonny Loudon got his hands on the new arrival to see if it lives up the highly-anticipated hype.

Cost

With a smartphone already in my back pocket and a laptop and headphones in my bag it was always a hard sell the idea of forking out more money for ANOTHER device.

But as technology has moved in leaps and bounds you don’t need to spend an arm and a leg anymore to have a smartwatch with all the bells and whistles — this watch, priced under $500, is a case in point.

Battery Life

There isn’t anything more frustrating than realising you forgot to charge your devices overnight and being left with a dead piece of aluminium and glass that you can’t use.

This was a major factor in me not becoming an early adopter of smart watches, but with up to 10 days of battery life it hasn’t materialised as a real concern or even a factor in deciding whether or not to throw the smartwatch on my wrist everyday.

Intrusiveness

The biggest selling point for me in any new piece of tech is how well it disappears. Daily driving the Watch Fit 4 Pro I can honestly say I forgot I was wearing a smart watch! It’s lightweight, low profile and only the notifications I want to come through make it to my wrist.
