A frequent traveller has shared why she swears by a set of vacuum storage bags sold on Amazon when packing her suitcase to go on holidays, and thousands of other travellers agree with her.
TikToker Maggie Marsh relies on the six-pack of Vacuum Storage Bags with Double-Zip Seal and Leak Valve Reusable Space Saver Bags ($16.99) on Amazon whenever she is packing to go away.

And using the bags means that her luggage is well-organised, condensed and manageable on the other side.
“This is my favourite travel hack of all time,” Maggie captioned her video. “No more checking a bag!”
Maggie said if you’re a traveller and you’re not using the storage bags to make everything “skinny and fit into your suitcase”, you’re doing things all wrong.
She illustrated her point by showing how she would have previously packed a selection of dresses to go to Florida, and how she packs them with the help of the Vacuum Storage Bags.
Instead of having a clunky wide packing cube, she simply suctions out the excess air from the vacuum storage bags, and she is left with a slim-line bag that is no wider than a tablet like an iPad.

Product information on Amazon states that the vacuum storage bags will reduce the volume of your items by as much as 80 per cent.
They do this by sucking the air out of the bag, so your clothes or items are slim within the packaging.

“Quickly close the lid to create an air-tight seal.”
The bags aim to protect your items from dust, moisture, insects, mildew and discolouring, so they’re a perfect option if you’re looking to store old clothes or items too.
Reviews are overwhelmingly positive on Amazon, and there are close to 3,000 five-star ratings for the bags.
“They are very easy to use and shrink into tiny bags that do not take up much space,” one shopper wrote.
“Great for overseas travelling. Reduces the size of packing by half!” another added.
