When most people hear the word cookie they do not associate it with the words diet or weight loss.

However, Mina Ghobrial does, in fact it was the unconventional way he lost 51 kilos and transformed his life.

At his heaviest, Mina weighed 125kgs and faced serious health concerns, including being prediabetic and having extremely high cholesterol. But it wasn’t until a single photo left him in shock that he realised just how much his lifestyle had impacted his health.

That moment became the catalyst for Mina to decide he needed to do something drastic to change his health before it deteriorated any further.

Despite being relatively lean for most of his life, Mina’s mental health began to decline over time.

The emotional turmoil he experienced led him to use food as a coping mechanism, which, in turn, contributed to significant weight gain. It wasn’t just about the physical changes — Mina’s mental wellbeing was deeply affected as well.

“I was prediabetic, my cholesterol levels were through the roof, and food became my comfort,” he says.

As Mina began his search for a solution, he stumbled upon the Cookie Diet.

Mina was understandably sceptical at first as he wasn’t sure how consuming cookies could possibly equate to weight loss.

“It seemed almost too good to be true,” he explains. But the more he researched, the more intrigued he became.

The simplicity of Dr Siegal’s Cookie Diet Program, paired with its scientific principles and positive reviews as well as his love for cookies inspired him to give it a try,

Mina liked the idea of a diet that didn’t require giving up his favourite treats, especially after struggling with complicated and restrictive programs in the past. He decided to take a chance and dive into the Cookie Diet, fully aware that his health was on the line.

Mina’s initial experience with the Cookie Diet wasn’t without its challenges.

The early stages were difficult, and he struggled to stay consistent.

“I didn’t stick to it as strictly as I should have,” he admits.

However, his commitment grew stronger once he saw the first signs of progress.

“Within the first couple of weeks, I started noticing the weight coming off,” Mina says.

This early success motivated him to stay disciplined and over the course of six to nine months, Mina lost an astonishing 51kg, dropping to a healthy 74kg.

His cholesterol levels also normalised, and his blood tests showed great results.

The transformation wasn’t just physical but life-changing. “I had never felt so good about myself,” Mina says.

Not only had Mina lost weight but as a result his “confidence soared”.

As he shed the weight, his mental health begun to improve and Mina found himself more active, regularly going to the gym, and even managing to quit smoking, an issue he had struggled with for years.

“The weight loss had a profound impact on my overall well-being, I felt like a new person inside and out” Mina explains.

While he considered other weight-loss options, such as Ozempic injections, he ultimately chose the Cookie Diet which was a decision that led him to a healthier, happier version of himself.

The Cookie Diet starter kit retails from $179.95 and includes a range of different flavoured hunger-controlling cookies.

You get to eat up to nine cookies a day as well as a 500 to 700-calorie meal for dinner.

The cookies come in the flavours chocolate brownie, maple pancakes, cinnamon oatmeal and butterscotch with each cookie only 60 calories.

Dr Sanford Siegal first created the cookie diet, after having treated more than 500,000 overweight patients.

Siegal believes the best way to lose weight is not by starving but by eating and eating often.

He has been prescribing his Cookie Diet in his medical practice for over 40 years.
