A range of haircare designed for kids with “unruly” curly or wavy hair is making waves with parents, who have dubbed it the “best solution” for getting rid of knots and tangles.
Twiddl was founded by Aussie mum Marian in 2021, after she had a look around for something that would help to tame her own two-year-old daughter’s hair.
“After trying and testing various baby and adult-specific brands (particularly the detangling sprays), nothing worked well enough to tame the frizz and glide through the tangles with ease,” Marian recalled.

Although there was a proliferation of products, Marian found that many of the store-bought options were either diluted or low quality — and she felt her daughter’s hair deserved better.
Taking matters into her own hands, Marian decided to create her own range of kids’ haircare — Twiddl — which launched in March 2021.
The Twiddl range comprises products including shampoos, conditioners and de-tangling sprays, all of which have been made to make washing, drying and styling toddler and children’s hair that bit easier.
“Our commitment is to provide a range that is free from sulphates, phthalates, silicones, parabens, synthetic colours and synthetic fragrances, yet extremely effective from the first wash,” Marian said.
“Twiddl products are also cruelty free, vegan and tear free and expertly formulated and manufactured in Australia.”
The shampoo is made to cleanse and lather with ease via strengthening proteins that restore the hair with a “deep, yet non-drying clean”.
While the conditioner is billed as a “deeply hydrating cream that allows for more manageable, softer and defined tangle-free waves and curls”.
Finally, parents can pick up the De-Tangler Spray — which has a creamy consistency that glides through tangles effortlessly while taming frizz and enhancing the hair’s definition.
There’s also a Leave-in Cream which is an “all-in-one styling, de-tangling and conditioning product that doesn’t weigh the hair down”.
It includes both castor oil and hydrolysed Jojoba esters for additional moisture and smoothing of any frizz.
Reviews online are glowing for Twiddl, with shoppers describing it as a “game-changing” range for “gorgeous curls”.
“I purchased the De-Tangler spray for my 12-month-old granddaughter who has the most beautiful curls,” one shopper said.
“My daughter had tried a number of others, but none really did what she wanted it to do. Twiddl has been exactly what she was after. Soft bouncy curls with no greasy residue or weightiness to her hair. Very pleased and we will definitely be repeat purchasers.”
