A “great” iron that has been praised by shoppers for being “time-saving” is being snapped up this New Year, as shoppers rush to avail of a limited-time discount.
The Philips Azur 8000 Series Steam Iron (reduced from $229 to $183) uses 240 grams of strong steam to remove stubborn creases from your clothes and garments without an ironing board.
While the vertical steam function lets you refresh garments right on the hanger and remove creases from curtains as they hang.

Many who have bought the iron have praised its OptimalTEMP techology, which means your clothes will never get burned — whether they are jeans, linen, silk or cashmere.
Philips promise you can iron your clothes “safely, in any order, without waiting for the temperature to adjust or pre-sorting clothes”.
They also say you can iron more in one batch, thanks to the iron’s 350mL water tank, 2400 W power and 55 grams worth of strong continuous steam output.
The iron is so popular that Amazon Australia have already shifted hundreds of units this month.
Reviews online are glowing, and shoppers have described the product as “excellent”.
“In the past five years I have bought seven irons from all different brands and none of them have steamed properly nor taken the creases out of clothes well,” one shopper wrote.
“This Phillips 8000 is excellent and I have finally found an iron that irons clothes well just like irons used to be. It is heavier than the other irons I have bought recently but maybe thats what helps to get the creases out. Love this iron”.
