Teaming up with Amazon, Tanya says shoppers can send an email to tanya@tanyafromaccounts.com over the next two days to book in a ‘meeting’ with her.
The meeting — for 20 lucky shoppers — will take place on Friday, helping the selected shoppers with their Christmas retail.
Tanya has also shared with Best Picks the three hacks she swears by for shopping, as well as what’s on her own wish list and how you can buy for the hardest person in your family.
Tanya’s Christmas gifting hacks
When it comes to Christmas gifts, there are three things Tanya swears by when buying presents.
“Get in early,” Tanya tells Best Picks.
“Black Friday sales are a great starting point where you can cover off a lot on your list. This way, you won’t have to worry about the last minute gift buying scramble and end up giving someone whatever you have in your bathroom... which I have sadly done before!”
Tanya adds: “Glen20 isn’t a gift, people!”
Secondly, the comedian recommends putting “everything in your cart and edit as you go”.
“Sometimes, seeing it all together can really help with decision making and speeds up the payment process at the end too,” she says.
“Sorry, but I’m a genius for this one!”
Finally, as is the case with grocery shopping when you’re hungry, you should never do your Christmas shopping when you’re stressed out.
“There’s so many great deals on Amazon’s website this year, and they’ve extended Black Friday to 14 days - so you’ve got the time,” Tanya says.
“Put time aside, make sure you are comfortable (take your bra and pants off), and stick to a budget to avoid unneccessary impulse buys. You do not these roller blades or that trumpet, Tanya. I’m not kidding. I have impulse bought both those things.”
How to buy for the hardest person
Struggling to find something for your dad/uncle/any male in the family?
Tanya recommends a subscription.
“Get them a subscription to a magazine or a membership service like Amazon Prime — which provides them access to free and fast delivery on eligible orders plus access to entertainments benefits like Prime Video”.
Tanya says subscriptions are the gift that “just keeps on giving”.
“Not paying for something for a year? Yes. Immediately yes,” she says.
What’s on Tanya’s gift list?
Aside from happiness, Tanya says she is very into self-care these days.
“I’ll be kitting myself out with a range of fun ‘I’m over 30 goodies’,” she says.
“Amazon has everything you need for this - a new emotional support water bottle, heated eye mask with headphones, head and neck massager, portable juice blender and cheese boards.”
