There are a number of decisions one has to make when becoming a parent for the first time.

Everything from which pram to choose, to where you’re going to live with your family — and which baby monitor will watch over your sleeping newborn.

To help with the latter decision, Amazon has slashed the price of the seriously popular CuboAi device, which alerts you in real-time if it detects that your baby’s mouth and nose are covered or if they’re face down.

Co-created by pediatricians, parents get access to HD night vision, “true cry detection” and danger zone alerts, so you know when your baby needs you.

Sleep analytics, to check the baby’s sleep health in easy-to-navigate stats, give peace of mind to those in the early stages of parenthood, with playback up to 18 hours and tags guiding you through every event.

Built for 0-5+ years, the Cubo device can transition from a floor and crib stand for newborns to mobile stand for toddlers.

Normally $499 for the baby monitor and stand options, it’s now $300 on Amazon for a limited time only.

“Best baby monitor on the market in my opinion,” one woman wrote on Amazon after purchasing the device.

“The Cubo is an investment - initially we bought a different monitor which was unreliable and needed to be returned to the manufacturer,” another woman said.

“After some research we came across the CuboAi which was highly recommended by many people in forums and in our mothers group.

“The tweet is a much nicer sound to wake to in the night or to hear throughout the day than a baby crying.”

Another said: “We went through four cameras with our firstborn, so this time around we did a lot of research and are so happy we went with this camera.

“The image is so clear and responsive. It’s brilliant. I don’t notice any delay and have not had a single connectivity issue. Love it and recommend it to all my friends.”
