The doll made its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York City on March 9, 1959.
To celebrate the big month, Amazon is throwing a massive Barbie sale — slashing the price of some of the top Barbie dolls by as much as 43 per cent.
You can snap up the amazing Barbie Dreamhouse for $239.99 instead of $369.99.
Alternatively, you can get your hands on a number of the dolls like the Barbie Doll with Fairytale Outfit for $20.99 instead of $25.99, or the Mermaid Doll for $17.84 instead of $20.99.
The Barbie the Movie Doll is also down to $38.23 instead of $54.99.
And there’s even an Astronaut Doll for $25.99 instead of $34.99.
Many of the Barbie dolls listed on Amazon come with thousands of glowing reviews and positive ratings.
